When she was three her family moved to Reno, Nevada. When Shannyn
graduated from high school at the age of 17 she left for Los Angeles to become a
dancer. While going to dance school, Shannyn paid the bills by DJing, and
it was while she was DJing that she was discovered by Francine Maisler, a
casting director. Shannyn had done some commercials prior to this
discovery, but nothing that put her on the map. She turned down several
roles, until the role of the Lead in A Knights Tale came along. She has
since gone on to star in 40 Days and 40 Nights, The Rules of Attraction, Wholey
Moses, and the Sin Eater which are all either out or on their way. Shannyn
continues to DJ every Tuesday night at a local club in LA. I hope that you enjoy
